Sister!
Even in this WINTER,
the SNOW has arrived in ABUNDANCE
Write NO WORDS,
affix NO STAMPS,
and SEND the LETTER
just TRIM as it is—
should I put a HANDFUL OF SNOW
into a white envelope?
SISTER they say
it does NOT snow
in the land you have GONE.
a poem originally written by Yoon Dong-ju, around the time the poet had reached the age of 20.
